How SpotfAIke works
SpotfAIke combines editorially reviewed licensed photography with internally generated AI images.
A result based on provenance
SpotfAIke does not use an automated detector as the final judge. Real photographs are checked against their documented photographic source. Synthetic images are generated internally with a recorded model and prompt. A person reviews every challenge before publication.
Human editorial review
Every item is checked for image quality, classification, source metadata and useful visual observations. Automated AI detectors are not treated as reliable proof because both false positives and false negatives are possible.
Why the project exists
The aim is not to promise perfect detection by eye. It is to make source checking feel natural and to show why visual confidence alone is weak evidence in an age of synthetic media.
Transparency without spoilers
The current and unplayed challenges keep their classification hidden so everyone can make an independent guess. After an answer, the game reveals the evidence, source record and visual observations. Future answers are never published early.
